On today’s edition of our Be Hairspired series, we have beautiful Augusta. Her hair journey has come a long way from thinning ends to now an afro. She will also share some of her favorite products with us. Let’s meet Augusta.

Please introduce yourself and your location.

Hello, my name is Zuokemefa Augusta and I stay in Lagos Nigeria.

When & why did you start a healthy hair journey?

I started my healthy hair journey in 2014 when I noticed my relaxed hair was too thin and tiny.

What are your future hair goals?

My future hair goal is to increase the volume my hair.

Advice for other Nigerian ladies on a hair journey?

My advice to other Nigerian ladies on a hair journey is to focus more on the health of their hair and take out time to care for it.

Have you experienced setbacks on your hair journey? How did you bounce back?

Yes, I have experienced setbacks in my hair journey. It was in 2016 when my hair was breaking a lot and I believed it wasn’t growing anymore. I bounced back by taking out time to read on how to reduce hair breakage and carried out the regimens I learned properly.

What is your hair regimen?

My hair regimen is carrying out my wash days properly; which includes prepooing, using black soap shampoo and a good deep conditioner ( I use Hills and Vine deep conditioner) because clean scalp makes my hair grow, using Jamaican black castor oil as my growth oil and wearing protective styles often.

What is the current length of your hair?

The current length of my hair is below my collarbone.

What is your favorite way to style your hair?

My favorite way to style my hair is in a big puff with my edges laid with Eco styler gel.

I Love her advice, many of us rush for length rather than health! We should learn to love and care more for our hair and once it is healthy it will grow!

Loving her hair, you can’t go wrong with puff’s 🙂

    Thanks for sharing, God bless!
